So I may have gone off the deep end in my quest for some autox tires but I found a local guy with a set of Toyo RA1s on a good set of 15x7 TSW wheels for sale. Obviously I cant run those in STR and would get dumped into CSP but I am only trying to have fun anyways! The main selling point to me is the wheels but I am concerned about how long the tires might actually last and if they would be any good. He says they are basically slicks now but would still be good for dry autocross for 2-4 events for sure. So I am just curious if that would be dangerous to drive on for a few events.
Asking price is $250, I figure if the wheels are good then I will just be buying a set of RE71Rs later on and going back to STR but enjoying the experience of racing slicks while I can. Definitely would be a pain to not be able to drive to an event with the tires on but its all about the fun I guess!

If budget isn’t an issue and you don’t mind going through the set quickly, I’d do it for sure! If you’re just trying to have fun then I guess I wouldn’t mind having a faster time while doing worse in my class.
